I’ve been way MIA, absent from most social media platforms as well (save the odd tweet of a food pic), but I’ve been in Thailand for the annual kin jay festival, a ten day long vegetarian festival that effectively puts veganism at the forefront of a large percentage of the population’s minds. I’ll write more about it when I’m home, but here are a few pictures of what I’ve been eating.

And a picture of a kitten in bloomers (it has no rear leg function and its people are extremely caring). <3

I’m in Bali now for a further two weeks – spot the tempeh before the cat. Yup, one of life’s goals complete: eat tempeh in Indonesia. It’s not a disappointment!

Fried tempeh AND a kitten in bloomers. My, the lord has been kind to you!
Great to hear about the kin jay festival in Thailand. Would you recommend going?

Yes! It’s a vegan’s dream, and it’s pretty much the biggest holiday in the Thai calendar so it’s a big deal. The main road in Chinatown gets lined (jammed) with stalls (think of a big city vegan festival in a town hall and multiple it times a billion).
